Lake Martin is a 44,000 acre lake with 750 miles of shoreline, that's more shoreline than the coast of California! Lake Martin at one time was the largest known man made lake. What keeps the lake so clean and gorgeous is the river coming in does not go through any big cities, so no polluted waters, that and of course ourselves, not throwing trash in it. Numerous times Lake Martin has been in magazine in top 10 of best lakes. Recently Southern Living made us #11 out of 20 for best southern beach towns, plus #2 for best lakes in Alabama, #6 best in the south

Lake Martin includes many popular attractions, including eagles nest, natural sand beaches, restaurants, camping areas and popular islands. The lake has several landmarks, such as the Kowaliga Bridge, and several marinas, but perhaps the most recognized landmark on the lake is Chimney Rock, a large rock formation that resembles a chimney. Chimney Rock is located several hundred yards away; the formation which most people call Chimney Rock is Acapulco Rock. The area was the Tallapoosa River gorge before Martin Dam was built, and the water is more than 150 feet deep. The spot is visited by thousands of boaters yearly, who park in front of "The Rock" to watch people climb up 60 feet and jump off into the water.

LET ME START by introducing myself, I am Shellee Smith, owner and host! My husband, Jared Smith builds boathouses on Lake Martin JSC Docks. I run his office and our STR's (short term rentals). We work, live and play here. He has been a local for 30+ years, me since 2019. WE LOVE THE LAKE! When booking our place you get a person, a host who loves what she does, not management company. I have been a Super Host and Premier Host since 2019 on AirBnB & VRBO. Our place is listed on both AirBnB and VRBO, plus we offer Direct Booking as well. **That 70's Kottage on Sunset Dr. sleeps 8, 3 bed/1 bath + hot water private outdoor shower, 2 adult queen size bedrooms main floor and upstairs loft for kids/teens 4 twins. Lake Front with dock and mooring whips for boat
We also wash ALL LINENS off each bed each time! Crazy that some think its okay to leave comforters and not wash them.
We also provide al the TP, our places are all on septic tanks, they require special TP. Gladly start the bathroom off with 3 rolls, but if you need more please inform me hours/day before you need it.

LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION!! Our place is off Centerport rd. This is the same road Chucks Marina/Pizza is off. There is a self serve gas station on the corner of Centerport, Lakeside Fuel. Great for gassing up your boat and getting ice.
10 mins and you get to the intersection of hwy 50 & 49, right before you have a Dollar General, then at intersection you have 2 more gas stations where you can find adults drinks, wine and they each have a small liquor section. Also El, Burritos Mexican restaurant is attached to the side of one.
15 mins and you have Niffers restaurant, 17 mins and you have Oskar's restaurant, 25 mins and in Still Waters you have Coppers restaurant on the golf course and Bluffs floating bar at the Still waters Marina
18 mins and you have Jim's Pharmacy at the Lake
20 mins on hwy 49 and you get to the intersection of hwy 34 & 49, where there is Nirvana Latte, Twice Baked, Lake Martin Pizza, The Creamery, 34 Market, another big Dollar General,
Turn up hwy 34 and you got to Martins Sport Pub and Holiday Shores Store/bait shop
Keep on Hwy 49 and within 25 minutes from your rental you get into the downtown area of Dadeville, several boutiques, shops, restaurants, fast food chains, Renfroe's grocery store and Walgreens
35 Minutes from place and you are in the backside of Auburn University
