That 70's Kottage on Sunset Dr. sleeps 8 LAKE FRONT
That 70's Kottage on Sunset Dr, originally an old cement block cabin on the lake, built around 1960's. When we purchased our home, this little cabin came with it. With hard work and love, we transformed it into a cool little spot on the lake with some of the most amazing views! It’s on a point, so you can walk out on the dock and see a huge amount of the lake. Our road was not named Sunset Dr in the 40's for no reason...
**We do live next door, but we love the lake, we work, live, and play here so we are not looking into what you are doing, we are doing our own thing. We can be the host next door that never say a word to you or your new best friends, your vacation you set the tone, not us. Turn your music up and enjoy, we will be doing the same!
ABOUT the place, you pull up to 2 parking spots ( again on a point and a dead end street, parking can get tight so NO more than 2
3 bedrooms (2 queen rooms on main floor with a Jack N Jill bathroom between them) then 4 twin beds upstairs in the loft kid/teen room.
Upstairs loft has a window seat and smart Roku TV that streams only
Living room also has a smart Roku TV that streams only
Fully stocked kitchen
Outdoor Private hot water shower with room to get dressed in
Covered patio and additional decking with outdoor fireplace.
Park style charcoal grill
Dock with Mooring Whips to tie boat, big water views also mean big water wave action, mooring whips are the best to tie your boat up with, please watch some videos on how to use. NON-skid treads on steps into water.

~~our place we provide TP (they are on septic tanks and a special TP is required, if you need more, please ask in a timely manner)
1 Rolls of Paper towels, plenty of trash bags for kitchen under kitchen sink and outside trash bags, cleaning products, dishwasher tabs.
ALL trash goes in any of the 3 trash cans you pass on the left upon arrival into the property driveway.
We provide coffee pods/sugar/cream/teas.
Grills are all charcoal, please do not put wood or cig butts in the grills.
Some guests leave behind unused items like sunblock/bug spray/charcoal/lighter fluid/spices/coffees/condiments… These items are they if you would like to use them.
We provide all linens and towels, sometimes things need replacing so what is on pictures may not be the bedding on the bed, we try to keep the color and house scheme. But are subject to change.
Check IN; Keycode and self-check in any time after 4pm
Check out: 10AM exceptions can be made for early or late check out, but not during the main season, most of our places are back-to-back bookings. We try but can never promise.
********For check out: we ask the following to be done.
1. No trash left behind in any room
2. No dirty dishes, please load and start dishwasher upon check out
3. Leave beds unmade
4. All remotes back, if one is missing you will be charged $20, that is how much they cost with shipping
5. Make sure to log out of any streaming apps on the TV
6. Make sure you have double checked for personal items left behind, it is a $20 fee just to take to post office, 45 min drive and then the cost of shipping and packaging
We have the strict non pet/animal policy here, this includes any visitors you may have come see you during your stay, Service animal or ESA. This is because we live next door in a non-leash law county. We have dogs, who LOVE, LOVE, LOVE people but HATE other dogs/cats. No one wants an altercation. No one wants a dog fight or death. This is us telling you now, we are NOT held responsible for our dog’s behavior towards any pets on property. This is their home, their land, they will defend it from other animals.... Please understand, these are our babies, and we would not want them to get hurt or any other fur babies, this comes from the upmost love for animals, ours, and yours. KEEP Entrance GATE and side Gate closed always.
SERVICE DOGS, we cannot deny you, but you risk the life of a trained fur baby that loves you
~~Our place gets pest control twice a month, we try very hard to schedule when not booked but that is not always the case, the sprays they use are harmless to people and pets. Everyone wants a bug free zone, so please allow Ballard Pest control entry if they are there to spray, takes all of 2 minutes.
~~We have weekly ground keep up, our yard guys are in and out, but must be done to keep up the properties.
REFUND POLICY:
full refund if cancelled 5 days prior to arrival. We highly recommend travelers insurance, cheap and covers family emergencies, weather and more.
**ALSO, you are in mother nature, bugs, wildlife, reptiles are and could be around during your stay. The best way to cut back on bugs inside the house, never leave door open, use the provided electric bug zappers.
**Leaving door open will also result in AC taking HOURS to get the place cooled again, its Alabama and the heat/humidity does not play.
**AC below 69* can freeze up the HVAC unit in summers months, this will result in needing a repair guy, not only will this cost $ but it means you will be without any AC, so please do not set it below 69*
