    Great if you just want to get away
    It was something different from the traffic and big crowd. Very quite and relaxing spot!

    Relaxing!
    A quiet beautiful view from the porch. A cute little cottage to get away from everything! We took our Harley trike and it was a very nice area to ride! One day we put on 185 miles just checking out the area. The owners were very helpful with anything we needed.

    Perfection!
    I booked the place for my 30th based on the cuteness of 70s theme which is how I decorate. Communication was 10/10! Shellee responded quickly to me any time I had a question. The house was ADORABLE & SO clean! The kitchen had tons of cooking utensils. The beds were super comfyyy as well. The back deck was big, perfect for dancing & being together. The dock was large & great to lounge on. The yard is full of gorgeous plants. The owners live next door which can be nerve racking sometimes but they introduced themselves & were very friendly! They took us out on their boat Sunday & it was a blast!! They went over & beyond with their hospitality! This will def be my spot to stay every summer now. Thankyou so much Shellee & Jared! You guys are the best!

    Cozy, Relaxing, Accommodating With a Priceless View.
    This home was just what the doctor ordered if you're looking for a getaway to have fun on the water, grill, enjoy a sunset, time on the dock or coffee and sunrise. Lots of thought went into making this cozy cottage have everything you'll need during your stay. The owners were accommodating and had great communications with us. It was easier to access than I originally thought from looking at google.

    The stay exceeded our expectations. The host was extremely helpful with detailed instructions and recommendations on things to do in the area. The house is uniquely designed to accommodate plenty of people and its 70s style decor gives the place a welcoming feel. My favorite part was being able to sit on the peer at the end of the day, reading a book and drinking a beer. Highly recommend.

    Shellee is an amazing host, she is available for anything you need, but the Kottage is so well furnished you wont want for anything! There are comfortable beds, an awesome loft, and everything you need in the kitchen. It is a perfect relaxing getaway directly on Lake Martin. There are games and magazines for an inside day, plenty of outdoors things to do with the lake and hiking nearby. Go a couple miles up the road and check out the Scenic Overlook if you have time. Auburn or Montgomery are about 45 mins away for any shopping you may need, but there are restaurants (Mexican, Niffer's or Oskar's- American) within 15 mins as well as a Dollar General and 2 gas stations. This is our 2nd time staying with Shellee at the 70's Kottage and have loved it both times!
